Oh seriously, how did I forget how much teething sucks?! Callie is her usually happy self during the day, but at night, oh boy. She’s had 3 top teeth come out in the last month or so, it’s this endless cycle of sleeplessness and sickness. The teething causes congestion, and congestion escalades to something else. Oy. She usually sleeps very well but she’s woken up at least twice a night for the last month. In the last week (two teeth came out), it’s more like 3 or 4. And instead of being quietly rocked or nursed back to sleep in 15 minutes as usual, she cries for 30 minutes and it takes me the better part of an hour to put her back down.
Chris took the girls out Sunday morning so I could sleep in, and again to the museum Sunday for lunch so I could relax and not want to murder someone. I just worked on stuff around the house, but it was so nice to get a break. Now that Callie’s got all those teeth out (the last one finally pierced the skin yesterday), hopefully we will get a little bit of a break. At least the two big top teeth are out now so those trouble makers are done.
Wish us luck. We’ll just be over here trying to survive!
In the mean time, look who adores Mexican food?
